![]() ![]() Xenia Beliayeva has spent the last decade building her reputation in dance music, starting as an industry professional, freelancing for labels like Playhouse, Klang Elektronik or Mute Records, A&Ring at Ladomat and their Danced Records offspring, as well as managing her own label, Lone Records, before launching her DJ career back in 1997. Her new rendition is also accompanied by remixes from André Winter, Mr. Paris the Black Fu had initially written the lyrics for a woman, so he recently approached Xenia Beliayeva about doing a cover version for the Pubahs’ Engineroom label, and here are the results. The original version of ‘Surrender’ was by Detroit Grand Pubahs and first appeared on their 2004 album ‘Galactic Ass Creatures From Uranus’ on Poker Flat. ![]()
